Solution to crashes on HyperThreaded systems We have only registed these crashes on Pentium 4 HyperThreaded systems with Windows XP. If such is the system you are using, carefully follow the next tips: Brief Edit the SCREAM.CFG file in your Scratches folder and set AUDIO_DEVICE to 1 Set the compatibility mode to Windows 2000 Extended Go to the folder where you installed Scratches Edit the SCREAM.CFG file with Notepad or any text editor Make the following change in the file: from AUDIO_DEVICE 0 to AUDIO_DEVICE 1 Save and quit Next, right-click on the Scratches shortcut Click on Properties Click on Compatibility Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" Select Windows 2000 from the list Click OK and you're set!
